The SAML credentials (Security Assertion Markup Language) tool is to enter the necessary information to enable single sign-on (SSO) capability for Teamworks AMS. Once activated, AMS pushes security considerations such as password policy enforcement and multi-factor authentication to the SSO provider. Users can then go to their SSO provider's portal, launch AMS and be logged in automatically.
This can be enforced on a site-wide basis through the Application details tool by the site owner. SSO can also be enabled for select users in the organization on a role by role basis (using the Roles tool) by an administrator. Once the credentials are entered, SSO is enabled for all users with matching email addresses to access via their SSO provider's portal. Likewise, if a user with SSO enabled attempts to log in via a browser, they will be prompted to log in via their SSO provider.
Note that installed offline AMS applications cannot be launched using SSO.
