A key characteristic of a modern Athlete Management System is interoperability with a wide variety of tools and services. While Teamworks AMS supports many pre-built integrations, some of our customers require bespoke solutions to meet their unique needs.
If you are seeking information about what tools and resources are available to make AMS an integral part of your technology ecosystem, then this page will provide a brief overview of relevant options:
- Teamworks AMS API: a versatile API that supports both importing and exporting data.
- Teamworks AMS R package: a publicly available package for the popular R language that makes the Teamworks AMS API easy to use from within the R environment.
- Analytics connector: a “plug and play” solution for a one-way transfer of data from AMS to a data warehouse.
Teamworks AMS API
The Teamworks AMS API allows you to automate a wide variety of tasks related to the input and output of your AMS data, as well as providing easy access to information about the configuration of event and profile forms on your AMS site.
The API documentation is available to AMS customers upon request from your Product Success Manager. It comes in HTML and Postman collection formats and provides full specifications and examples. For more information, check out our article on using the API.
Teamworks AMS R package
The Teamworks AMS R package, smartabaseR
, unlocks the analytical powers of R for AMS users. Using smartabaseR
, it is easy to export data out of AMS and into R, where users can then leverage R's rich statistical modeling and machine learning features. Users can also import data from R back into AMS.
smartabaseR
can thus enable powerful bespoke workflows that may not otherwise be achievable.
The package is publicly available via GitHub: https://github.com/Teamworksapp/smartabaseR . Documentation is self-contained within the package and also can be accessed here: https://teamworksapp.github.io/smartabaseR/index.html. For more information, check out our article on using the R package.
Analytics connector
The Analytics connector provides a fast way to deliver your AMS data to your existing data warehouse. All data is synchronized in near real-time and takes into account any updates to your event forms.
Note that the connection is one-way and requires your organization to deploy and maintain your own data warehouse. If you feel this solution may meet your needs, please get in touch with your Product Success Manager. Find out more in our article on the Analytics connector.
